In Maths, children in Year 5 spent time examining their classrooms and identifying how many right angles they could see. This visual aid supported learners in their protractor-measuring journey. Children learnt that angles are all around us! For homework, children were set a challenge to find as many different types of angles they could find in everyday life outside the classroom. Children enjoyed measuring angles. This was a fun activity! Children drew lines on whiteboards and used 5 pieces of tape to make straight lines across the board from one side to the other. From there, pupils were able to practice measuring angles made by the tape; this activity also helped pupils identify and recall the different types of angles, e.g. acute, obtuse, right angle and reflex angle.
