At Minet Junior School, we are proud to be continuing our journey towards becoming a more sustainable and environmentally responsible school.

Having previously been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag in May 2022, we are now working towards renewing this accreditation and further developing our commitment to protecting the environment. Through our Eco-Committee, whole-school initiatives, and curriculum links, we aim to raise awareness, encourage sustainable choices, and empower our pupils to make a positive difference both locally and globally.

Meet Our Eco-Committee

Our Eco Warriors are a team of enthusiastic pupils selected from each class who are passionate about protecting the environment and making our school more sustainable. Each member has shared their own environmental aims and is committed to leading positive change within our school community.

Working closely with teachers, the Eco Warriors take an active role in planning and carrying out eco-friendly actions, raising awareness, and encouraging others to make responsible choices. Together, they are helping to make Minet Junior School a greener and more sustainable place for everyone.

The Eco-Committee meets at least once each half-term and is supported and guided by teachers.
