This term, as part of our guided reading lessons, the children have enjoyed exploring a range of exciting Greek myths alongside informative non-fiction texts about Ancient Greece. Through these rich texts, they have developed their vocabulary and practised key reading skills such as retrieval, inference, and summarising. The children also explored how the structure and language choices in both fiction and non-fiction can impact the reader. These sessions have deepened their understanding of the Ancient Greek world while strengthening their confidence as thoughtful, reflective readers.
