Sports Day

Minet Junior School held our annual Sports Day events on Wednesday 21^st and Thursday 22^nd June. The days were a huge success with fortunate weather and a great deal of excitement. All of the children took part in a range of field and track events such as the Vortex Throw, Javelin Throw, Sack Race and Hurdles; they displayed incredible skill and resilience throughout. The grand finale across both days was the final sprinting competitions. There was not a single race that didn’t showcase the sheer determination, energy and huge levels of sportsmanship from all participants. It was a wonderful sight to see so many of our students giving it their absolute best, all while having a big smile on their faces for making themselves and their families proud! Good job everyone! 
I would like to say a special thank you to the students and staff that helped to ensure the day ran successfully and to all of the parents who were able to attend and show support. We look forward to next years Sports Day, sure again to be a splendid event for everyone involved!
