Headteacher Statement

On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governors, I would like to welcome you to our website:

Minet Junior school is a friendly and diverse four form entry school in the heart of Hayes, in the London borough of Hillingdon. We work closely with Minet Infant School and Nursey and local secondary schools to ensure excellent provision for the community we serve.

Our school is a happy, vibrant and caring place where we expect the highest standards of behaviour and good manners. Our ‘person centred’ learning ethos is at the heart of everything that we do and we endeavour to ensure that every child is given a range of opportunities and experiences to develop a real love of learning and achieve their very best.

We believe learning should be fun. We deliver a knowledge based curriculum and excel in areas such as Science, Languages and Sport as well as Maths and English. We currently hold the Quality Skills Mark, PE Bronze award, Primary Science Quality mark, P4C Silver award, Eco-Schools Green Flag award and Healthy Schools Gold London award.  We are also a Rights Respecting Silver school and hold the Investors in People Gold award. We work alongside NACE to ensure we are challenging all of our children to think for themselves to become independent learners.
