Hillingdon's SEND Advisory Service (SAS)

 

For those of you that are not aware of Hillingdon's SEND Advisory Service (SAS), the team operates an advice line to support your child or young person with SEND, up to the age of 25. Parents/carers should send an email to saskeywork@hillingdon.gov.uk given on the flyer (link below), stating what support is needed. A member of the team will get back to you within 48 hours.

Family Support

Virtual Autism Surgeries - We advise parents and carers who are new to HACS, to join us at one of our Autism Surgeries. Anxiety and Behaviour Support meetings  - practical support sessions for parents, carers or family members of an autistic person who is currently being affected by

Children and Young People’s Services

Leisure activities, short breaks and targeted programs for Autistic People aged 7 years to 25 years

We run weekly Saturday clubs, Youth Clubs and holiday Play schemes. A full assessment of the young person’s needs is required before attending.  If you are interested in this service, please telephone or email Jo Major on 0208 606 6780 or Joanna@hacs.org.uk

Skills and Employment Service

Transition Support - 1-2-1 support for young people who are making the transition from school, college or university to adult life (aged 14 to 24 years), together with support for parents/carers.

Supported Employment - Vocational training and support to find and retain employment for people with learning disabilities or autism over 16 years, including 1-2-1 support, skills workshops and supported work placements.

Adult Autism Hub

A service for autistic adults.  You might be looking for more information about your diagnosis, or want to access support with employment, welfare benefits or social activities.
