Thomas Babayode
I have an extensive background in property management from being a private landlord to a development manager of a large luxury development in Putney, London. This involved being fully in charge of how the development was run, from raising orders, setting the annual budget, dealing with health and safety to management issues. This had a multimillion pound budget. In effect, I was the CEO of the site.
In my past, I also ran my own facility management company.
I am currently finishing my Masters thesis in global management from the Robert Kennedy College in Zurich. Once, finished, I will be looking for a higher role within the property sector.
I have been a member of the institute of Directors, and I am currently a chartered member of the CMI, associate member of the IRPM and member of the Customer service institute, National Landlord Association, the British Institute of Facilities Management and the Residential Landlord Association.
Being a school governor helps as it is something very tangible and rewarding because it helps our communities grow. It also helps me develop my skills as a business leader. I see the role as very educational as I get to know more that happens behind the walls of the school and I will understand the factors at play which influence the education of young kids in our community.
