Year 4 recently took part in a ‘Health and Happiness’ workshop. The children learnt all about the different emotions we feel. The workshop helped children identify what emotions we feel in different situations and how to turn negative emotions and feelings into positive emotions and feelings. The children enjoyed the workshop especially acting out the different emotions we can feel.

  • Fire Safety

    Fire Safety
On Thursday 6th May, Year 5 took part in an online workshop organised by London Fire Brigade about fire safety.
The Fire Officer introduced a range of issues to the   children who were able to participate in a class discussion throughout the presentation.
The Officer explained  how fires happen, and how we can all take steps to prevent them - whether that's by cooking safely, never playing with lighters or matches, or ensuring that mobile-phones are not left to charge overnight.
It was explained that fire kills, destroys homes and spreads quickly. The children learnt that smoke can be as dangerous as fire, how smoke alarms work, and how to make sure they are working properly.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and asked lots of valuable questions.

    Earth and Us

Last week, the children had a special visitor arrive from Earth and Us. The purpose of the visit was to help teach the children about the positive changes we could make to our daily lives to help protect our planet and it’s wildlife for the future. The children were very proud, when sharing all of the wonderful ways they are already contributing, for example recycling their plastic bottles.

  • Number Day 2021

    Tue 11 May 2021

On the 7th May 2021 we celebrated the NSPCC’s Number Day. The children were raising money for the NSPCC and in total we raised £229.00

The children wore non-school uniform, however an item of clothing had to have a number on, in honour of Number Day. In addition to this, the children took part in fun maths activities throughout the day.

I would like to thank all members of our community for making the day a success and look forward to celebrating Number Day again in 2022!
