Brilliant Britain, Year 3
Thu 31 Mar 2022As part of their Creative Curriculum topic ‘Brilliant Britain’, year 3 have been learning about their local area – Hayes. To link with this, they went for a walk around Hayes to visit key locations such as the local supermarket, pharmacy, Hayes Park and the canal.

Thu 24 Mar 2022The netball team played incredibly well this week. The results are as follows:
Won 3:0 against Hayes Park.
Won 6:0 against Cranford Park.
Drew 1:1 against Botwell.
Lost 2:1 against Dr. Triplett's.

Red Nose Day
Fri 18 Mar 2022Today we celebrated Red Nose Day. The children had the opportunity to come to school in non-uniform and donated £1 to Comic Relief. As a school we have currently raised a staggering £310.
In addition, we held an art competition this year to see who could design the most creative red nose. We had so many entries that is was such a hard decision to pick the winners!

Dentist Visit
Thu 10 Mar 2022Year 3 had a very exciting and interesting visit from a dentist today. The children learnt about how much sugar they should have in their diet as well as measuring sugars in different foods. They were shown brushing techniques and had the chance to practice this on the dentist's teeth model. Remember that all children are entitled to free dental care under the NHS, please ensure that you are all visiting the dentist at least once a year for a check up.

Pedestrian Training
Mon 07 Mar 20223O and 3M took part in pedestrian training today. The classes went out to Avondale Drive and the children learnt the importance of road safety and how to cross the road safely. Please talk to them about this and encourage them to show you how they have been taught to cross the road.

World Book Day
Thu 03 Mar 2022Children and adults came to school dressed as characters from books to celebrate World Book Day. All children have been given a £1 book token which can be used towards the cost of a new book.
